The 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs should be exciting. Some new teams have been added to the mix from last years qualifiers, with a corresponding number of teams now on the golf courses. Will any of these “newbies” find success versus the more experienced playoff contenders?
Below are the picks from our 9 Mystics. We have 8 returning GDH Mystics and have added an additional Soothsayer (certainly has the gift of the gab) from the province of Alberta.
The Mystics will make predictions for each round of the playoffs. They will also predict the number of games to be played in each series. The winner will have correctly predicted the most series winning teams. The tie breaker will go the Mystic who picks the closest number of games played vs actual number of games played throughout the entire playoff season.
The winner does receive a gift certificate to a popular restaurant, so there is much at stake.

The selections have been made. The Mystics have consensus on only one series winner of the 8 brackets, and that has the Edmonton Oilers defeating the Anaheim Ducks. Greetings. In introducing myself, I must relate that family is most important. I am a husband, father and grandfather. Beautiful extended family. I was born in the 60’s. Graduated from Laurentian University in Sudbury in 1985 with a degree in Social Work. Recently retired.
Sports has been and continues to be my foremost outlet for stress. I have been a coach/ trainer on over 40 youth teams, including hockey, baseball and soccer. Hockey is my number one sport. Began playing as a young child and continue to play several times per week. Huge Fan. I am not an expert per say when it comes to having close contacts to the hockey world. Still have expertise as a Fan. I have probably earned some form of “Hockey PTSD” over the years with the highs and lows of the cheering for the Leafs. I want to respectfully share my opinion and respectfully view your opinions. Should be fun. Keep your stick on the ice.
