The Conference Finals Were Exciting!
The 2026 Stanley Cup Conference Finals proved to be a very fast paced, highly skilled and physical brand of hockey.
The Vegas Golden Knights pulled off what most would have been considered improbable if not impossible feat entering the Series. Vegas was the underdog. They swept the President Trophy Winning Colorado Avalanche in 4 games to win the best of 7 series 4 games to 0. They are the Western Conference Champions.
The Carolina Hurricanes played a dominate brand of hockey to win their Series against the Montreal Canadiens 4 games to 2 to claim the Eastern Conference Championship. They were able to adjust their style of play after game 1 to almost suffocate the Habs for the remainder of the series. Montreal set record low standards for shots on goal in a playoff series.

The Carolina Hurricanes are slightly favoured to beat the Vegas Golden Knights and win their second ever Stanley Cup. But the Vegas Golden Knights have knocked off the highly favoured Colorado Avalanche in dominate fashion in the last round, so they cannot be counted out.

Entering the Stanley Cup Finals, one Mystic has emerged as the favourite and leads the pack. Mystic Phil D has a one point lead over Mystic Colin Mac and Mystic Cmac 3130. Given that the picks are blind, meaning the Mystics do not know the other picks beforehand, Mystic Phil D will be crowned Champion for the 3rd time in a row based on the submitted predictions.
There could be some movement further down the board. There are always bragging rights. Mystic Christina Mac has picked the number of games played in the playoff perfectly. Mystic Annie D is 2 points off in this close race.

Sports has been and continues to be my foremost outlet for stress. I have been a coach/ trainer on over 40 youth teams, including hockey, baseball and soccer. Hockey is my number one sport. Began playing as a young child and continue to play several times per week. Huge Fan. I am not an expert per say when it comes to having close contacts to the hockey world. Still have expertise as a Fan. I have probably earned some form of “Hockey PTSD” over the years with the highs and lows of the cheering for the Leafs.
