Hockey Pump-Up Songs
Pump-Up songs have long been a tradition for hockey teams. The songs of choice have varied over the generations. How many have listened to a song or songs in the dressing room as a means of building energy and firing-up. Excellent for Team building, morale and chemistry.
Below is a list of old school and new school songs. Most songs will be current, with a mix of the old. Old school music folks can look to most metal/hair bands from the 70’s and 80’s which would have a volume of Pump-Up material.
A shout out to the following: Rock group Queen for the song ‘We are the Champions’, a post victory anthem that remains current. ACDC has transcended the test of time, continuing to be a top go-to rock group with multiple tunes.
From Coast to Coast to Coast, fans in the True North will always remember Stompin’ Tom Conners for ‘The Hockey Game’, The Tragically Hip for ‘50 Mission Cap’ and Tom Cochrane and Red Rider for ‘Big League’.

Greetings. In introducing myself, I must relate that family is most important. I am a husband, father and grandfather. Beautiful extended family. I was born in the 60’s. Graduated from Laurentian University in Sudbury in 1985 with a degree in Social Work. Recently retired.
Sports has been and continues to be my foremost outlet for stress. I have been a coach/ trainer on over 40 youth teams, including hockey, baseball and soccer. Hockey is my number one sport. Began playing as a young child and continue to play several times per week. Huge Fan. I am not an expert per say when it comes to having close contacts to the hockey world. Still have expertise as a Fan. I have probably earned some form of “Hockey PTSD” over the years with the highs and lows of the cheering for the Leafs. I want to respectfully share my opinion and respectfully view your opinions. Should be fun. Keep your stick on the ice.
