Final Standings of the GDH 2025 Mystics Competition Regarding Predictions of the Stanley Cup Playoffs
“Hay, Hay” For the Mystics
We have kept our readers waiting long enough regarding the final standings of our Mystic Challenge. With the Florida Panthers hoisting the Stanley Cup after a convincing victory over the Edmonton Oilers, the 2025 NHL hockey season came to a close.
In doing so, so did our Mystic Challenge. The Challenge featured two groups. The first group featured our return Mystics from the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The second group was a newly formed Lady Mystics contingent that began their prognostications in Round 2 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Firstly, How Did The Mystics Do In The Last Round Of The Playoffs, The Finals?
We must celebrate that a Mystic in our midst did correctly predict the Finals. One other Prognosticator picked the right team. Everyone else picked the Edmonton Oilers to win. There must have been some form of Canadian Bias with these picks, and in hindsight the Northern Lights were quite visible during this period, probably interfering with a Mystics connection to the stars.
Correctly picking the Florida Panthers to win the Stanley Cup Final in six games was B Mac. Holy Ginger Donkey, his mystic self was right on. B Mac must have been in some type of super altered state when he was listening to the universe. But, was this brilliant effort enough to catch Mystic P Dunn, who was leading heading in the Final? Stay tuned.
A brief shout out to the ol’ Ginger Donkey himself (me) who predicted a Florida win in 7 games. Must have been a tad misunderstanding with the messages from the beyond to miss out by 1 game.
Anyway, what happened to everyone else? What kind of donkey pooh type interference was at play with your mystic self when you were in the mystic state? And you cannot blame Bennett on this one. Oh, probably the Northern Lights that beamed off the city of Edmonton.
And Lady Mystics, well….
Final Results
The final results were very close. Please review the statistics charts below for a clear understanding.
In the end, just like the Florida Panthers, Mystic P Dunn completed the Challenge as back-to-back winner, just like the Florida Panthers. He is now the 2024 and 2025 Champion. P Dunn Had predicted 12 correct Series outcomes. B Mac was trying to slash and hit his way to the top, but came up short with 11 correct picks. C Mac and D Mac tied for third with 9 – ouch.
And the Lady Mystics inaugural Champion is S Mac with the most correct picks. S Mac is such a wise one. Close behind in 2nd place were A Mac and Ch Mac, who put forth a solid effort. And in 4th place all alone is Mystic N Mac. But do not despair N Mac, you still beat D Mac in a game of Corn Hole which is a major feat, if not unpopular.

Keep your stick on the ice and stay safe.

Greetings. In introducing myself, I must relate that family is most important. I am a husband, father and grandfather. Beautiful extended family. I was born in the 60’s. Graduated from Laurentian University in Sudbury in 1985 with a degree in Social Work. Recently retired.
Sports has been and continues to be my foremost outlet for stress. I have been a coach/ trainer on over 40 youth teams, including hockey, baseball and soccer. Hockey is my number one sport. Began playing as a young child and continue to play several times per week. Huge Fan. I am not an expert per say when it comes to having close contacts to the hockey world. Still have expertise as a Fan. I have probably earned some form of “Hockey PTSD” over the years with the highs and lows of the cheering for the Leafs. I want to respectfully share my opinion and respectfully view your opinions. Should be fun. Keep your stick on the ice.
Take Care and Stay Safe.
